Pilatus Capital invests in startups with groundbreaking, patentable technology and may overlook resolvable challenges often found in early stage companies, such as human resources voids, operational issues, or bad business strategies. Our core belief is that with hands-on support from Pilatus Capital’s experienced team and advisors, many of these startups can overcome such obstacles to become successful leading-edge technology companies/acquisition targets, creating a return for investors. Fund I will invest in seed and early stage companies in cleantech, life sciences, and retail tech. While it is US focused, international investments may represent up to 20%. We prefer to lead investments early on and may syndicate in later financing rounds. We are based in Emeryville, California.
