Joe has more than 25 years experience in global professional services, human resources, sales, marketing and operations leadership roles. He is a Managing Director and Member / Owner at Berkeley Research Group, LLC and the Global Leader and Co-Founder of the Health Transformation Institute, a subsidiary of BRG. He also has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Aflac, Inc. His broad and deep human capital leadership and consulting experience has spanned numerous industries which include healthcare, manufacturing, high tech, insurance, financial services, consumer packaged goods, and telecommunications.
Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colorado State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law. He has also served as a Board Member and President of the Executive Committee of the Colorado State University Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Kalyana Sivagnanam has over 30 years of global expertise in strategy, operations, sales, and marketing in the automotive industry. He became CEO of Petromin Corporation and Automotive Group in 2020. Prior to that, Sivagnanam held several roles at Nissan Motor Corporation, including Managing Director for Nissan Motor Great Britain; Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Africa, Middle East, and India; and President for Nissan Motor Middle East. Before joining Nissan Motor, he held several senior roles at Ford Motor Corporation, including Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Service for Africa and the Middle East, as well as Regional Director for Europe.
Sivagnanam holds an MBA from Dundee Business School in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Stephen Thompson has over twenty years of experience working with venture capital funds, start-ups, and blue-chip tech companies to recruit and develop critical talent into the future leaders and drivers of technological innovation. Thompson has helped build research and development teams in disruptive verticals including artificial intelligence and software. He became Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition Technology at Nike, in 2021. Most recently, Thompson served as Head of Strategic Recruiting for Artificial Intelligence and Applied Scientists at Amazon. Before joining Amazon, he held talent management roles at high-tech firms such as LinkedIn, Apple, Google, and SquareTrade.
Thompson holds a BA in Political Science from the University of San Diego.
Fréchet is a chemist and Professor Emeritus at UC, Berkeley. He is the co-inventor of the chemically amplified materials integral to the miniaturization of nearly all electronic devices in the past 25 years. An expert in polymers, he is known for his work on dendrimers, separation media, polymer therapeutics, and other technologies. He has authored nearly 900 scientific papers and holds over 70 patents. After retiring from UC, Berkeley he joined the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2010 as its first VP for research. He retired in January 2019 as SVP for research, innovation, and economic development.
He earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Institut de Chimie et Physique Industrielles. He received an MS and a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and Syracuse University respectively.
Professor Pisano is a founder of eleven start-ups, a co-inventor of more than 35 patents in MEMS, and co-author of over 390 publications. His research interests and activities at UC San Diego include MEMS for applications, including RF components, power generation, drug delivery, strain sensors, biosensors, micro inertial instruments, disk-drive actuators, and nanoimprinted sensors & circuits. Pisano is currently Professor and Dean of the School of Engineering at UC San Diego, jointly appointed into the Departments of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Previously, he was a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and a Director of the Berkeley Sensor & Actuator Center at UC Berkeley, with a joint appointment to the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Pisano earned a BS, an MS, and a PhD in mechanical engineering at Columbia University.

She is currently the Founder & CMO, Head of Customer Experience of Best MD House Calls. Before that, she founded and was the CEO, Head of Product Management of One Caring Company. Throughout her career, Kim has practiced medicine as an Emergency Physician, affording her an insider’s view of the healthcare industry’s unmet needs.
Kim earned a BA in Biochemistry from Oberlin College, an MD from Stony Brook School of Medicine, and dual MBA from Columbia Business School and UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
