I bring a unique mix of capabilities through my varied experience as an attorney at leading law firms, in-house counsel at Amazon, and general counsel and head of partnerships at a Hong Kong-based family office. Having an analytical, curious, and tenacious nature has been indispensable to both my career and athletic and mountaineering pursuits. I am drawn to venture capital by my passion to support the underdog while helping transform high impact, cutting-edge technologies and brilliant entrepreneurs into successful commercial enterprises.
"We live in a renaissance age of new technologies on the cusp of commercial viability with incredible potential to change the human experience for the better. Pilatus is where I can contribute my small part towards helping start-ups beat the odds and advance these crucial objectives."
After graduating Columbia Law School, I developed my tax expertise working as an attorney at leading international law firms. I advised investors, investment funds, and Fortune 500 companies in high stakes transactions on a broad range of domestic and cross-border matters relating to fund formations, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and other commercial transactions.
I then transitioned to a generalist in-house counsel role at Amazon, where I managed all legal aspects of the company’s rapidly growing food and health supplements businesses. I advised on a diverse range of commercial transactions, regulatory matters, and new initiatives and special projects. In my next role, I oversaw global legal matters and compliance as general counsel and head of partnerships for Onlan Capital Ventures, a Hong Kong-based family office focused on venture capital investing and strategic ventures in Asia. In this capacity, I’ve worked with a diverse range of fast-growing, early stage technology companies and their investors and strategic partners.
